Congratulations to Glenn Barnes
Sydney Strapper of the Year  2012-2013

Glenn is indeed the "strappers' strapper". His hardwork, dedication and commitment to his career is inspiring to his fellow colleagues and he acts as a role model to other staff through his actions.  Glenn is not one to waste words but is a highly respected and well liked member of staff who has an impeccable understanding of the horse, racing and the industry as a whole.  Glenn takes tremendous pride in the presentation of horses under his care, as well as in his own personal appearance at race meetings.  He treats his job with the utmost professionalism and is forever carrying out the extra "10%", clearly displaying the work ethic instilled in him.  HIs boss is constantly reminding him that he needs to finish and go home due to the fanatical nature of his commitment to his job.  Glenn is a quiet and shy person with tremendous compassion and kindness and should be congratulated for not only being an excellent employee, but an excellent young man in our society.
